recipe by rule of thumb:
- peel 5 apples and cut them in small cubes
- a hand full of raisins
- minced nuts or breadcrumbs (may be roasted a little for more taste)
- lemon juice, rum, sugar, cinnamon
- 1 filo pastry and melted butter or rape oil
mix all the ingredients (except pastry) in a bowl
put pastry on a towel and brush it with butter or oil, put the minced nuts and then the apple filling on it.
wrap well and roll it with help of the towel. brush it with butter (oil) and sugar it.
after 50 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius the strudel looks like this 🙂
dust it with icing sugar if you like and serve it with whipped cream or vanilla ice or vanilla sauce.
